The CMT in shooting terms is the lens that makes the orange targets look like "neon". This lens is a patented lens made by Randolph Engineering exclusively for the shooting sports. While it is very dark, lets in 18% of the available light, the target just jumps out of any background. In the bright sun it is especially useful for finding that target coming in from a tower, or high two or straight out into the sun on the trap field. I have a shooter that lives in England, where it is a little overcast, and I asked him how he likes the CMT in the low light conditions. He said all I see is orange. Enough said.
